Key events that deal with our local
environment and the environmental education during the next several
months are shown below:
April
- April 23: Earth Day Event in conjunction with the Town of
North Hempstead at the Long Island Science Museum, PW Green
participated in a cleanup of the 36-acre preserve at Leeds
Pond. Supervisor Jon Kaiman visited and lent a hand as PW
Green members remove over 30 bags of trash.

21-22 BioBlitz (www.smli.org/biooblitz.html) PW Green is a
planning partner of BioBlitz, a 24-hour biological survey of all
living organisms inhabiting the 36-acre preserve at Leeds
Pond.
